St. Paul’s presents Karl Jenkins, “The Armed Man”: A Mass for Peace (1999)

The choir of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church presents composer Karl Jenkins’ celebrated masterwork “The Armed Man”: A Mass for Peace (1999) under the direction of Dongho Lee. A collage of music and words from the sacred and poetic traditions of many cultures and epochs, the Mass stands as a monument to the grotesque history of suffering and devastation in war, and a hopeful prayer for redemption in the present moment.
An all-star instrumental ensemble joins the choir:
