BCMS’s Fifth Season pays tribute to author Leah Broad’s book “Quartet: How Four Women Challenged the Musical World”.
This book tracks the stories of four British female composers: Ethel Smyth (1858–1944), Rebecca Clarke (1886–1979), Dorothy Howell (1898–1982) and Doreen Carwithen (1922–2003), all icons in their time that were then lost to history. Join us as we celebrate the voices of these lost giants.
