VISION STATEMENT
The Bellingham Chamber Music Society envisions a community inspired and engaged by a diverse canon
of concert music with opportunities for all to participate in the collaborative joy of chamber music.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Bellingham Chamber Music Society curates high quality performances, embraces living and
neglected composers, engages local musicians, creates community with its audience, and cultivates
educational opportunities for musicians of all ages.
BCMS: Community. Excellence. Variety.
BCMS believes a vibrant chamber music scene is a powerful force for building lasting relationships. We are a hub of musical and creative activity driven by local professional musicians dedicated to curating performances of high artistic quality presented in accessible and inviting formats. We are committed to programmatic variety integrating standard repertoire, living composers, and composers impacted by historical erasure. We offer space to foster community between performers and audiences and to celebrate experiencing live music together. We developed The Harmony Chamber Music Festival for Youth out of a love of sharing the joy of collaborative music making with young people. We aim to expand this joy into adult community music programs in the form of BCMS Connect (an online platform for area amateur musicians) and an adult chamber music camp. One dream at a time, it is our intent to keep the spirit of chamber music alive for the people of Bellingham.
Join us for concerts in the beautiful, elegant, and acoustically excellent Crystal Ballroom in Bellingham’s historic Hotel Leo!
