Bellingham Chamber Music Society supports Bellingham’s vibrant classical music community by curating live performances and inspiring the next generation of musicians through educational outreach.

The Bellingham Chamber Music Society (BCMS) is a hub of musical and creative activity for the community of local professional musicians. The Society began in 2013 out of the vision of violist, Leslie Faye Johnson and bassoonist, Pat Nelson, in an effort to provide performing opportunities for professional chamber musicians to share their music with Bellingham audiences. In the past nine years BCMS has presented a wide variety of concerts including standard string quartets of Beethoven and Dvorak, wind quintets of Hindemith and Maslanka, and the collaborative Between Two Worlds series with local jazz musicians. BCMS curates concerts of high artistic quality in accessible and inviting formats. The concerts will celebrate the standards, endeavor to include music from traditionally underrepresented composers, and embrace the diversity of cultures within the community. It is our vision to keep the spirit of chamber music alive for the people of Bellingham.
BCMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 46-4083979) and all donations are tax deductible.
